Rippers Reinassance - Noob question about new Assimilation Swarm
Ok.
Is it me, or Ripper Swarms really get into play with the updated Assimilation Swarm detachment?
With the "objective marker" removed from "Feed the Swarm", don't Ripper Swarms become deep-striking medkits to pop up wherever they're needed (regardless of objectives), also working as a minefield for the enemies by clicking Broodguard Impulse every time somebody gets rid of some? With a chance of having 1-3 Parasites of Mortrex (one with Parasitic Biomorphology to potentially make two spawn attacks at S7) possibly making more from isolated-enough enemies, and since each ovipositor kill generates its own unit, that would be even more independent chances for regen-ing other stuff and/or Broodguard Impulse-ing the enemy.
Again, I'm a nogame noob, still in the collecting-and-reading-rules phase, maybe the whole thing doesn't click because all the different everythings don't activate in the right phases of the game to be useful, or maybe the whole package is too much of a point-sink (the Parasites I guess, just the Rippers as a DS moving regen hub seem not too costly) to be worth, I dunno.
Is it me imagining impossible shenanigans, or that can actually be a thing?
