Noob Video System Selection

Been flying on the sims for a bit and used to have a tinyhawk kit a few year back. I am about to start ordering my goggles and drone soon and have been weighing the pros and cons of each digital system.

I want a digital system for the better dvr. I am leaning towards walksnail, but I’ve heard that their vtx doesn’t have the best QA and can just fail randomly. Don’t really want HDzero due to only having google dvr and the footage doesn’t look too much better than analog. I didn’t really want to get stuck in the DJI ecosystem but their product seems to be in their own league. I saw a video that the O4 is only a gram heavier than the walksnail.

If I don’t go with DJI, what googles would you recommend for walksnail? Even with the added cost, I was thinking the HDzero googles with the walksnail vrx. This seems to be the most compatible and future proof setup.

Thoughts? Am I over thinking it? Not really wanting to buy twice with some of this.
