Should I have high hopes for the game ?
I played Oblivion, loved it. Spent hundreds of hours in it, it was great.
I played Skyrim, loved it. Same thing, hundreds of hours, but I also played with mods and it added extra hundred of hours of gameplay for me. Played it on Xbox then PC, just great.
But that was nearly two decades ago.. That's a *lot* of time, expectations change in terms of graphics, QoL etc.
So when I played Starfield I was like.. The standard isn't met, graphics are bad but I can work with that.. Immersion isn't there too. Story is bland. It would have been ok if it came out 20 years ago but that 2023.
So when I see that I'm thinking maybe Bethesda is stuck in the year 2008 and that we should all just accept it and move on and don't keep hope for their next games. But I don't know I'm not aware of everything surrounding Bethesda.
It's just TES is such a big piece of my childhood I waited for TES 6 for such a long time, if Bethesda is done for I just want to know for sure so I can just stop counting on it, not everything is supposed to age well
