Should I start watching Supernatural?

Okay, I guess asking this question in the fandom subreddit maybe might not give me the most objective responses 😂 Anyways I heard so much about supernatural (not really much about the plot itself, just that everyone who watches it loves it and that there is one really popular ship [if I’m entering fandom war territory I am sorry, I’m clueless])

I’m looking for a new show to watch right now and since I kinda want to know what everyone’s talking about I was thinking of supernatural. I don’t know if any of that happens in supernatural but I am a sucker for plot twists and Easter eggs that teaser them (I love Sherlock). Problem: I get „obsessed“ with shows and books quite easily and since I’m a student I can’t really afford starting a new hobby, if you will lol

So, question to all you out there: is it worth it? 15 seasons are quite the commitment. Any advice you wish you knew before diving into the fandom? Any characters not to get too attached to because it’ll just break your heart? (I have a talent for picking those characters as my favourites that end up dying…)
