my first Forester 🥹💚

yoooo I went from a 2007 Toyota Matrix to a 2025 Forester Touring and it feels wild and unreal!! autumn green ext and brown leather int 😉

pushed to move on to a different car after somehow surviving/coming out unscathed in a high speed hit and run in my partner's 2015 Honda Sport (the person who hit us spun us out on the I-5 from the second to slow lane to the median then fled the scene!!). started thinking of everything that could've happened had we been in my 2007 bb and decided I need a car w side airbags at a minimum lol.

after falling down a rabbit hole, settled on Subaru and a SUV bc I want to be planted and feel confident in the safety features. went with the touring bc why the fricc not, we're alive and we work hard/can afford it!

also can I just say that new cars are insane. the integrated tech is definitely something to get used to but so far, things are feeling pretty intuitive. the cameras at every angle with the simulated birds eye view are wiiiiiiiiiild. double also, the car has facial recognition 0.0

decided not to finance and am leasing in case the car ends up not being for me... and also bc this is my first ever car purchase/lease process which was overall educational and exhausting (why does every dealership make you wait hours??? ended up negotiating a deal over text after visiting 3 different dealerships lol). I don't have 43k cash atm so went with the most non-comittal but affordable option w the end of year deals.

now I gotta dog proof the backseat so my pup can join me in our usual shenanigans. it's so nice inside that the thought of her short fur in every nook makes me a lil anxious.. but that's just life w a sweet pup!

TLDR; I'm stoked and grateful and looking for any excuse to be in my new car 🥹 open to recs for prepping car for sheddy ass doggo. hello forester fam!
