What’s your history with Sonic?

The Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast that my older brother owned, was what introduced me to the franchise (loved the third Sonic Movie). After that I played Sonic 2 and 3 that he had on his old Genesis, but I never beat either. He also had Sonic R on our computer. Me and my sisters played Sonic Shuffle and I remember not hating it, yeah it was a dollar store Mario Party, but we had fun. Sonic Heroes was the first Sonic game I had our parents buy for me. I still remember the Christmas I got Sonic Mega Collection. I only watched a few episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Underground. I was also really into the OVA that we had on VHS. I watched the first two seasons of Sonic X (I don’t like space so I dropped during the last season). I never got Shadow the Hedgehog because I saw a bad review on X-Play. I really wanted Sonic 06, but it took my family a while to get a PS3 and by the time we did, I had completely forgotten about it and got Unleashed for the Wii on Christmas and wasn’t impressed (I had no idea the PS3 version was a completely different, much better game until 2017). I got the RPG and storybook games, but I traded them in because I thought they sucked. I officially fell out of the franchise when I was disappointed when I beat Sonic Colors in one day. I know everyone viewed this as when the franchise got back on track, but I still don’t care for it. Ironically, I got back into the series when I read the announcement that the long running Archie comics I only saw the covers of in Sonic Mega Collection was ending. I started reading them and it actually renewed my interest in the series. I ended up buying Generations and Lost World way after they came out. While the first Sonic game I got day one for the first time in years, Sonic Forces, was a complete dumpster fire, I was back into the series and have kept up ever since. I actually went on eBay and bought a bunch of the Sonic games I never played and even bought the ones I traded away to give another chance. Does anyone else have a weird history with Sonic?
