Beginner's Guide To The 4th Colossus
Note: i have only played the PS3 version of Shadow of the Colossus and haven't tried my strategy on the PS4 version. If the games design is the same as the previous versions then this strategy should still work.
Hello there. Shadow of the colossus was one of the first games i've ever played and i wanted to share my quick and simple strategy for defeating the 4th colossus.
He is a frustrating one who can punish impatent players. But i figured out how to beat him in under 5 minutes and have used this method many times.
head to the furthest hill and bombard the colossus with arrows.
Wait for the colossus to be roughly 5 metres away from the hill.
Head into the underground tunnel and come out the left or right tunnels.
Hide round the corner outside the tunnel and keep an eye on the colossus. Do not let it see you.
The colossus will move around the hill after you appear, do not let the game fool you, it will position itself onto the hill again. What happens for me is the colossus does a 360 turn and then positions itself properly on top of the hill. Just make sure you stay put and do not move.
Wait for the colossus to lean it's head down and run towards the back. Then climb the back and destroy the sigils!
This method has worked for me many times on ps3 and helped me complete the game in 4 hours total including cutscenes. I hope it works on the ps4 version. Thanks!
