When Helena, Drummond, and Milchick are at the conference table discussing Mark’s request that the Board returns his team to MDR, Drummond confirms that they’re going to give him what he wants, “including Helly R.” Drummond looks at Helena apologetically and Helena’s expression is resigned, like she doesn’t want to do it but agrees that Mark isn’t going to work on Cold Harbor without the whole team. Helena earlier told Cobel “we fear no one,” but really she fears her innie. Going back, Helena was looking out the window and touching her neck, harkening back to when Helly tried to hang Helena vis-à-vis Helly. Helena had to make that apology video because Helly R successfully sabotaged the Lumon gala and thus Helena. Helena watched the video of Mark and Helly and couldn’t wrap her head around who Helly is (is she a person even though Helena told her she is not?), what motivates Helly, and why does she defy Lumon/Kier. It seemed like Helena recognized that Helly has agency/power on the severed floor and even outside, which contradicts the severance model. That’s why she didn’t want to go back to MDR where Helly can act as disrupter. Helena looks scared/pensive before she gets in the elevator for her first day back at Lumon. Helena abides Kier. Helly defies Kier. Helena can’t fully control Helly. Therefore Helena fears Helly.
