Passed with 75 questions!

Boy oh boy how great it feels to be finally done with this exam!

I graduated in December 2022, got my ATT a few days later and scheduled my exam for Jan 13. I started studying by following a 6 week study plan for UWorld. I focused on one specific topic at a time, I did from 50 to 100 questions per day, and I reviewed the rationales for every single question. I wrote down simplified notes of rationales for questions that I got wrong or stuff I didn't know/understand. I occasionally went through my notes whenever I wasn't on UWorld and I looked up videos by Simple Nursing to get refreshers on topics I struggled with.

I attempted to listen to Mark Klimek lectures in the beginning but only listened up to maybe the third lecture. However, about two weeks before my exam I listened to the last lecture about Prioritization & Delegation and test-taking tips and lemme tell you I noticed a very big difference in may last two weeks of studying with UWorld questions. It was much easier for me to narrow down answer choices even when I had no idea what something was in the question.

After three weeks of studying, I took my first UWorld self-assessment test and got a 69%, 83rd percentile, and a "very high" chance of passing. A few days before my test, I took the second assessment and got a 72%, 89th percentile, and again a "very high" chance of passing. After this assessment, I took 2 SIMLEX and passed both with 75 questions. I 100% completed the UWorld qbank a few days before the exam with 67% correct, 94th percentile. I reviewed Mark Klimek notes a classmate shared and I watch Beautiful Nursing's NCLEX review Youtube video.

Who knows, maybe 6 weeks of studying was way more than enough to study. I don't think I've ever studied this much and this intensely in all my years of school lol. I've seen some people say/post that they only studied 1-2 weeks. However, it worked for me and I can't do anything now to take back those weeks. I will say, the commitment and the progress I made throughout the 6 weeks helped me build confidence for this test. I was quite surprised how relatively calm I was on the day of my exam. Of course I was still nervous and felt my heart beating through my chest, but I didn't doubt myself and I maintained this positive mindset that I will pass because my assessments and progress were all consistent. During the exam, I felt like I was just doing another UWorld practice test. I took my time reading and rereading each question and answer choices, and I told myself to not expect only 75 questions. After that 75th question, my exam ended and I let this big sigh of relief. A few hours later, I did the PVT and got the good pop up, and 48hrs later, I got my quick results.

My biggest advice is to stay POSITIVE ✨ We're all much smarter than we give ourselves credit for.
