Cyrus is not as niche as you would think

Been seeing a lot of initial impressions that this card is only good in decks that can attack the bench, but that it simply not the case. In most games this card will be better than Sabrina and here’s why. Basic EX pokemon are the best cards in the game because of their high hp and ability to pivot safely without repercussions because of a full bench in most scenarios. Mewtwo and Moltres are the biggest offenders of this. Cyrus completely punishes this line of play and levels the playing field with decks that aren’t running ex pokemon. With all the new basic ex pokemon coming like Dialga and Palkia he will certainly be a better choice over Sabrina as you can pretty much confirm 2 points in most cases. There are a few new healing cards coming out that may combat this and we have yet to see the full set list, but i think its pretty safe to say Cyrus will most likely be a Sabrina killer, it’s simply better in the game’s current format. Only going off what we have so far I can see the fighting agro deck with Lucario and Cyrus as one of the best in the game. With cheap heavy attacks, backline access, and Cyrus good luck building anything up against it.
