Is approaching a guy easy?

I have always heard boys saying "ladki honi chiye, zinda" but is it really true?

I really like this boy and he seem like someone who is really not interested in any girls. He don't really care about anything or anyone.

I am really confused about approaching him cause I fear I might get rejected. What should I do guys?
