Excluding the ever increasing Global CO₂ levels, what was the reason for July 22 of this year being "the hottest day observed in the modern satellite record"?
Lasy year when July became the hottest month observed, and ultimately the hottest day observed, it was said (by NASA) to have been because of the accompanying "El Niño". Well, El Niño came to its seasonal end on June 13, 2024 (according to the NOAA); however, July 22, 2024 was the global record breaking day (according to NASA)
I know that La Niña hadn't begun yet to facilitate cooling, as there was a given prediction (by the CPC) of a 70% chance that La Niña would begin to develop in the Pacific Ocean between August and October 2024.
So... is the spike simply some kind of residual heat plus the uptick in July that tends to occur anyway?
And, yes, I get the whole CO₂ part of it. I just wanted it excluded because of the way that... what's a good term... hmm... "very passionate"(?) people tend to become overly fixated on that one aspect. Another time perhaps. haha
