What’s an alternative piece of equipment to replace a cheese plate for a camera?

I need a really long cheese plate. I can’t find any. I’d also like to know of cheaper options. Anyone know anything about this?

Edit: I’m making a car mount so I need a long plate to attach everything onto my suction cups and ratchet straps.
