My Updated Nintendo 2025 Predictions.

I've posted my predictions for this year before, but since then, some of my predictions have slightly altered. Also, I just wanted to be able to visualize it, and create some game concepts to show you all.

So to start off the predictions:

FEBRUARY

In February, we get a direct that shows a trailer for Metroid Prime 4 (no release date), shadow-drops Metroid Prime 1+2 (not remastered, just a port like pikmin 1+2), and announces Kirby Planet Robobot Deluxe and Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War HD for May and April respectively. Ending it off, is Wind Waker HD being announced for the switch for August.

There is also a Pokemon Presents that shows off Pokemon Legends Z-A, and gives it a November release date.

MARCH

In March, we get a small presentation thing on Mario Day, just like last year. This time, the focus is on Mario's 40th anniversary, and Super Mario Bros 40 is announced alongside the cast for The Super Mario Bros Movie 2. They then say that more Mario news will be present at the Nintendo Direct on April 2nd, including more news on the Mario Kart.

APRIL

In April, the direct we've all been waiting for is finally here, and with it, the Nintendo Switch 2! They start off by showing us a trailer similar to the og switch's announcement trailer, giving us a release date of June. They then give us a better look at the console, finally showing us mouse mode.

They show us the various ways it can be used before giving us our first game trailer: Pointer Pals! (This is a concept and will likely not be what happens, but I predict a tech demo for mouse mode similar to this.) Pointer Pals is a Warioware-style tech demo based around the mouse mode controls, which will be available on launch.

They then show us more of the console, specifically what's inside showing us a new ui that looks very similar to the original, but now with more charm and customization (Miis are now an icon on the bottom and out of the settings, yay!). But with this they also reveal the c button, which is used for Nintendo's heavily updated online.

Nintendo emphasizes the online functionalities of the switch 2 with the announcement of WorldShapers (concept for the NSO Playtest game) which will be available for FREE on every system like the streetpass Plaza was, and will be the switch 2's equivalent of miiverse.

After showing off the console and it's gimmicky games, Nintendo shows a full reveal trailer for Mario Kart 9 (logo concept by Xeno on X). It has 24 racers and a story mode. Everyone goes crazy. It launches with the switch 2 in June.

Nintendo then passes it off to the 3rd parties for a bit before coming right back to announce another game. Out of absolutely no where, they announce Tomodachi Life 2! It adds the Miitopia makeup system, more diverse relationships, and overall more things to do. Nintendo announced this to be able to hook the cozy gamers so they get a Switch 2 while they wait to release animal crossing later down the line. Tomodachi Life 2 launches in September.

Then, after a few more 3rd Parties showcase the power of the switch 2 with their games, Nintendo ends it of with a new 3D Mario game: Super Mario Atlas (concept)! The game is beautiful, and is set in an open world, BotW style! The release date is October, and everyone rejoices as the Nintendo Switch 2 truly has games.

Oh, and also Genealogy of the Holy War HD releases.

MAY

Nintendo shadow-drops another trailer for Metroid Prime 4 with a release date of July.

Kirby Planet Robobot Deluxe releases to calm everyone while they wait for June.

JUNE

After what felt like a year long month, the Nintendo Switch 2 finally releases along side it's 3 main launch games: Pointer Pals, WorldShapers, and Mario Kart 9. The world enjoys the console while we all speculate about the Switch 3.

JULY

Metroid Prime 4 finally releases after what feels like a decade to critical success and raving reviews!

AUGUST

Wind Waker HD releases and gets a lot of people wanting OG zelda back.

SEPTEMBER

September starts off with a bang, having a nintendo direct earlier on in the month. The direct also starts with a bang, announcing a new Super Smash Bros game for 2026 its nothing but a short teaser, but it ends with: Everyone is back, AGAIN! This alone is enough for everyone, but their just getting started. Next up is a new trailer for Tomodachi Life 2, which is releasing later in the month. Afterwards, we get the announcement of Twilight Princess for February of next year. This will be a Switch 1 game. Finally, to end it all off, we get a shot of an airplane looking over a big city. It looks fantastic, and when the player looks back at their seat, you can see a Nook Inc. Logo on the back of the seat. A New Animal Crossing releasing late 2026. That ends the presentation.

Tomodachi Life 2 releases and is an outstanding success! People are so happy to be playing with their quirky miis again.

OCTOBER

Super Mario Atlas releases and it is the BEST game of the series, rivaled by none. Everyone loves it and the world it created.

NOVEMBER

Pokemon Legends Z-A finally releases and is a great Pokemon game. It seems gamefreak is finally stepping up their game and making actually playable experiences for once that are also fun to play.

DECEMBER

Nothing happens. Nintendo doesn't go to the game awards yet again.

And there you have it! Those are my updated predictions. How did I do? Do you agree with them? Do you like my concepts? I'd love some feedback.

Also, thank you to u/cloveinferno for letting me use his template!
