11 month old barely eats solids

I'm starting to get really concerned for my 11 month old son. He will accept food, chew it, show interest, but ultimately ends up spitting most food out. He downs bottles like no tomorrow. He is eager during mealtime but by the end, he will have barely eaten anything actually. I'm not sure what else to do- we have set meal times, all eat together at the table, serve familiar foods, new foods, etc. I see other babies his age eating entire plates of food and we are nowhere near that. Today he has eaten (besides bottles) like a few crumbs of toast and a teaspoon of cottage cheese- everything else was chewed and then promptly spit out or thrown on the floor. Any one else? Context- he is a healthy size and has always been on the bigger side (90th percentile height and weight) but with the one year mark coming and switching to regular milk soon I'm starting to worry about his lack of real food intake.
