Why does everyone hate Newcastle?

I’m sick of seeing so much hate for Newcastle, it’s not as if we are cocky fans, never seen any cocky fans online or in person we just are a very passionate fan base, so what if we haven’t won anything in years we’re allowed to be supportive as any team should be but it’s not just that, commentators, pundits etc all have something negative to say and it’s just weird if I’m perfectly honest, not seen any hate towards any other team than I have seen Newcastle get.
