Getting back into NCAA25...tips?

I bought NCAA25 when it first came out - did one year of dynasty and then shelved it due to life and stuff. Trying to get back in it for dynasty and wanted to see what suggestions you all had. I have been a bit lost:

- Recruiting: Hard sell versus soft sell - best use of points. Best way to identify gems? Other suggestions?

- I see you can't max out the coach tree - what is the best use of points? Do I need to worry about the assistant coaches and their points?

- Best defense to help stop the CPU do miracle comebacks?

- Any other tips?
