How do we bring back trick or treating?

I had approximately 7 kids come to my house last night for trick or treating. I was so excited to pass out candy. It makes me so sad to think about how trick or treating was for me in the late 90s and early 2000s, I remember the streets being packed with kids and we’d be out all night getting candy.

Is there a way to revive this tradition with our kids? Or is this a tradition that will die with the millennials? 😢

ETA: I am happy to hear trick or treating is still alive and well in other communities! I live in a highly populated, family friendly neighborhood so idk what our problem is. But I’m glad it’s not dead everywhere. 🎃
