I feel very lost. Not having fun.

There is something off about this game. For the life of me, I CANNOT play defense this year. I have played every Madden game since 99 and can consistantly play on all pro to all madden and this year, I am getting COOKED on pro. Zones feel awful and inconsistent and I constantly get burned on man. Also, to me, it feels like plays and qb passing happen WAY too quickly. I've played almost +10 hours and MAYBE have 4 coverage sacks. I cannot get any pressure on the QB because the ball is out in like 1-2 seconds. I even tested this by building a world destroying super team (99 Overall) and set it up perfectly and played against the Giants on pro. I had 1 sack and 1 pick. Daniel Jones was 20-26 and 318 yards and 2 TDs. Very frustrated because it feels very scripted and no matter what you do, the game will run it's track.

In it's current state, I have 0 intrest in playing, which makes me sad/mad/frustrated. Is it just me?
