Outlier Pendulum pedals - tried them, went back to Stamp 7
I bought into the hype, here is a review from someone that paid full price and am not a big name Youtuber that was sent them to review but said he would "buy them himself" I'm a nobody.
They do seem to provide some marginal improvement in stability. The major downsides are I was experiencing significant number of times where I'd come up on the wrong side of the pedal and lose all grip which did cause me to wash out twice and come close to it countless times. Problem two was my shoes hanging too far off the lateral aspect of the pedals making grip quite a bit worse than my Stamp 7 (which other than a bearing rebuild this year have a ton of wear on the pins).
About me - my favored type of riding is more techy black or double blacks, not much of a jumper or taking big drops perhaps others that like that style of riding would like them more. I am on the previous gen Stumpy Evo, shoes are Five Ten in mens size 9.5, Stamp 7 I use are small.
Hope this was more useful from an unbiased person. I haven't bought anything MTB related in a very long time and the price is not really a big deal for me but I can see it being for others with these being priced almost 30-40% more expensive than the next most expensive option.
