Integrating Lutron Caseta Smart switches and a smart hub with Philips Hue lights or similar

For starters I should make clear that I am an Alexa and Apple HomeKit house.

I have installed Lutron Caseta switches everywhere in my home, and I am now upgrading my lighting by adding about 10-15 recessed lights in a great room/dining room/kitchen. These lights will be controlled by 3-4 Lutron Caseta switches (I want zone control). When dreaming of the lights I'd like to use, I thought the Ketra D3 Downlights would be awesome! but then I discovered their price of $1,000 per light. when looking at alternatives, even those cost $300 per light. I needed something affordable, not luxury and landed on Philips Hue (I could be sawed away easily).

The goal for lights is to have RBG and white spectrum in a smart way - but I don't know what smart way.

It occurred to me that having smart lights and smart light switches together is not really smart - pun intended... I could turn the lights on, but the switch might be off. Or I could turn the switch on, but the light might be off. I realize this could be resolved with automations, but it's an extra step that is not very efficient. but perhaps this is the best way?

I could install Lutron Caseta switches and just leave them in the on position then when I install the Philips Hue lights, fully adopt them and go that route, but then I risk people turning off the switches manually.

Maybe I should be looking at different light switches that are scene based. My only problem with this is that then there isn't a REAL physical switch to turn the lights on and off they would just be perpetually on.

I'm sure I'm over thinking this, but I am getting a concussion of thoughts pouring through my head with different ideas on how to overcome this and the more I research the more confused I get because there are just so many options out there!
