Linear for a Marketing Agency
Linear for a marketing agency-- perhaps a bridge too far?
COO of a marketing agency. Looking to rid ourselves of basecamp and 4 other SaaS tools used for "project management." Our current processes would disgust too many folks, so I won't share more. I'm planning to implement Agile-ish practices (Mon. - Thurs. cycle/sprint). There's too much "hey I need a dev to look at this right now."
Making the switch to Linear would be highly practical except for the lack of built-in 'actuals' and forced bucketing of 'estimates.' Being an opinionated piece of software, I presume there is no current ability or future plan for adding custom fields?
I am biased to try to use Linear having a dev background and for its simplicity, albeit non-extensible. Linear obviously isn't built with a target market of agencies, but it would be nice to retrofit it accordingly without a 'bandaid' of plugins and third parties. The last thing I want to do is dive into the complexities of ClickUp or database-mess of Notion, so Asana / Monday are the unfortunate likely plan Bs here.
