HK P30 magazine curiosity

Since the 15-17 round retrofit kits exist now for the VP9/P30 series, I was curious if anyone had already tried or has experience with using the base plate and follower parts of said kit to add capacity to existing factory 20 round magazines.

Feels weird having the extreme added length on the magazine for 3 extra rounds now
