Let's be honest

I wish Ye would go on a complete different artistic route. Do an (almost) solo album like 808 again. Find out something real to say. Because I know he can. He's just not pushing it anymore like he used to. Musically just do something different. I feel like we're just getting some fresh sounding trap beats. Which is not bad, but it's not introducing a new era. I wish Ye would push the genre to the next level like he used to do.

Would love to get the album, but let's be honest. It's not that good. We've come to love everything Ye's doing because he's the GOAT, but that doesn't mean that I'm contend with what he's making. Imagine for a moment that he made Graduation, MBDTF and TLOP. Then hearing this. It's just not on the same level. The album cover is also trash. Artistically there's not much, and the execution of the type (especially that 'Volume 1') is horrible.
