Shaving Before Sugery?

I been posting so much here trying to get ready for my surgery. But anyway I have a laparoscopic procedure on Thursday, but I have pcos, so my belly button is the hairiest thing ever. Do I shave since that’s where the incision will be ? But I’ve also read that’s it’s not recommended to shave before surgery .
