Writing apps with a lock or password?

I’ve been reading fanfics since I was a teen and have always wanted to write my own. I’m now 27 and trying to embrace my hobbies and interests more, but I’m really embarrassed about it. I don’t want anyone stumbling across my writing in my iPad or laptop. What are some of your favorite writing apps for privacy?
