Crossing to Juarez for a day

Hi! My husband and I will be in El Paso for a few days and would like to walk over to Juarez to spend a day shopping and maybe a meal. Are there any mercados or places you would recommend for shopping? Also any places for a lunch and a few drinks? We will be walking so I would appreciate any recommendations that are easy to get to by foot. Thanks in advance!
