Why wouldn’t Whittington make a splash next season?

Jordan Whittington was a four star recruit with NFL pedigree who struggled with injuries in college and fell in the draft. He was a standout during training camp and preseason who many expected to make a fantasy splash during the 2024 season. Instead he was a stud on special teams but did not get many opportunities to participate in the passing game. When he did he made the most of them and managed 300 yards and highly impressive YAC. Now the Rams WR room apart from Puka is looking wide open with Robinson a FA and Kupp possibly departing as well. If Whit can win out over Tyler Johnson, Atwell and any other receivers the team brings in, 2025 could be a huge chance for him to become fantasy relevant. For those who are fading him (let’s say you wouldn’t pay a 3rd to acquire him), what are your doubts? Obviously the QB situation is currently a question mark, so this is more a question of what you see lacking in his game.
