Should I Replace This Tire? Mazda 6 - Sidewall Damage)

Hey everyone,

hit a curb (taking a slow turn) about a month ago, and this is the result on my 2024 Mazda 6 tire (attached images/video). Took it to the Mazda service center, and they confirmed the damage isn't too deep, but they recommended replacing it before summer kicks in. The car is only 8 months old, so l'm wondering if anyone has had similar damage and continued driving without issues? Or is it really best to replace it ASAP for safety reasons?

Is it a Sidewall Damage? Please suggest.
