Just finished Veilguard. Idc what the gaming community says. This game is great and deserves so much more love!

Let me just start by saying that this is the first single player game ever that I got the Platinum trophy for. THAT'S how much I enjoyed it. And I did it in one single run. I just absolutely love how everything in the game is there (for the most part) for a good reason. All the side, faction, and companion quests and stuff will not only make you stronger but ensure that you get the best ending.

I also want to add that DA: Inquisition is a top 5 game ever for me so the fact that Veilguard absolutely holds its own is a testament to the game. While I wouldn't put Veilguard in my top 5 (certainly in my top 30 or so) it is a more than worthy successor to DA: I that actually fixes and improves on some of DA: I'd most glaring flaws. There's no empty, bloated, open world filled with annoying fetch quests. Veilguard while epic and huge in its own way, is a much more trimmed and tailored experience that now as an adult I enjoy far more. It respects your time and for that I love it. I was able to finish the entire game and get the platinum in less than 80 hours!

It is really tragic that so many ppl and "influencers" in the gaming community have perpetrated a crusade against Veilguard. It is a wonderful game that I hope in due time as the "anti-woke" craze dies down, the gaming community will try out and appreciate it. It is so much better than so many other games that the gaming community lauds as masterpieces and most importantly, it is one of those rare AAA games that actually launched in a great unbroken state.

Veilguard shouldn't have been a failure but a good standard for what AAA developers ought to do. It utilizes its high budget in ways most AAA games have failed to while also having its own identity and not feeling like a generic game.

To all those developers, thank you for making this game. You put your heart into it and I can tell. You deserved better but I know that in due time, just like DA: I (which for many years was unfairly shat on), Veilguard will eventually be seen for the great game it is. I am so excited for BioWare's next project. Veilguard was absolutely a huge leap into the right direction for a developer that has made some of my favorite games of all time.
