Is Canvas getting worse?

I may have been fortunately, but I love the Canvas feature. I've used it frequently to co-create up to 2000 word essays and love being able to edit and refine - effectively having a research assistant and proofreader on tap.

Recently though, Canvas seems to be having more and more issues. I ask it to suggest and it tries then fails to add comments. When I try to move an uploaded document into Canvas to work on it, it claims it has loaded it in full but actually omits text. Suggestions sometimes get written in the wrong place. A rewrite of the tone of a document rewrote some of it then appended the whole of the original document underneath.

This isn't a general gripe, but rather I'm trying to see if others are experiencing recent issues with what was - for me - a reasonably reliable tool. It's breaking my workflow. I'm wondering if someone has been "improving" the feature.
