How are you getting such good gas mileage?

We got the PP in January and I couldn't be happier. We tested both the turbo and PP and we didn't feel the need for the extra power, it was perfectly zippy. But that said, I feel like we're not benefitting from the better gas mileage I thought we'd be getting.

I also have used cruise control religiously since my teen years when I accumulated a couple speeding tickets (zoom zoom and all).

I'm consistently around 24 mpg - Even when I've refreshed the ticker for highway trips, I'm around 24 and slightly less for city driving. I have seen on this thread people getting close to 30 mpg and I have no idea how!

Does anyone have hacks for their good gas mileage, or did we get a lemon of a car? Or maybe it is my driving after all. While I use cruise control, I still like to be going slightly faster than the average car around me ;)

EDIT to say PP instead of TPP - Preferred Plus - thanks and sorry for the confusion! But seriously seems like I get the same gas mileage as a turbo when I don’t have one.
