Citadelle combined with The Tomb would create the perfect 10/10 map
I thought about, what if Citadelle was released now instead of in December? What if The Tomb and Citadelle was combined into one map? That, with a few fixes and changes on top of it, would create possibly my favorite map of all time. Basically, taking the base Citadelle, this is what I'd do to make it the dream map of mine:
- Make the Citadelle section deeper. Fuck the Maya exclusive easter egg room. Make it an actual part of the map and let us travel up in the towers. Make it feel as big as it looks
- Below the cellars of the Citadelle, the walls would break and reveal the pathways going further down, which is where the Tomb would come in. Imagine the Citadelle being built on top of this ancient burial site with deep secrets, connected to the universe that no longer exists...! And this would include all The Tomb has; the corridors, the big waterfall room, and even the Dark Aether, where the new PaP location would be, instead of in a random box in the cellar. This would make Citadelle massive, but not too massive, and the Tomb teleporters would connect the map with fast travel points. It'd give the map essentially 4 layers; the Tomb sections at the bottom, the Citadelle cellars, the main levels including the village, and the high towers. It would make the map VERY varied yet connected in its artstyle and locations.
- Ice Staff would be included, as a 100% optional wonder weapon. You'd now have the 4 swords, the incantations, and the Ice Staff hidden deep below as an optional wonder weapon.
- Gold Armor quest would be included in this map, now taking place in the village since the exterior of The Tomb wouldn't be included here.
- Chess Knight quest would be one you can re-activate after doing the quest, simlar to all previous quests of similar style (Civil Protector, Sgt. Adam, etc.). Honestly have no clue why they haven't done this already
- King's crown would actually do something
This would honestly be my favorite map in Zombies history.
