Considering breaking my contract - need advice

I’m 1 year into my 2 year contract with Hearst as a producer. I am experiencing a level of burnout that takes a toll on every aspect of my life. Everything I’m doing makes me feel hopeless in the world, and I cannot mentally take the effects of this industry anymore. I have a history of anxiety and depression, but recently my counselor posited I may have PTSD from some of the tragic events I’ve been to (used to be a photog), and hearing about murder, death, and mayhem all day.

I’m also financially drowning, and need to return home for family reasons. I’m currently multiple hours from my hometown. I couldn’t afford an outright buyout (would likely be $5,000+). Does anyone have any history with Hearst buyouts specifically- are they enforced, can they be enforced even if leaving the industry, etc.

For reference, I will NOT be looking for another news job. I’m truly leaving this industry- I’m going to take some time off, and do something healing instead.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
