Spirit refund?

Similarly to how you can refund all your sparks, can you refund spirit upgrades? I didn’t really understand what they were at first and just upgraded them to the highest level I could at the time. I found a spirit that I actually want to use now and it would be nice to get the will and items back from my other spirit upgrades so I could max this new one out. I’m not seeing an option to do so, but I could be overlooking something.
