Haru confronting Ako

I'm rewatching the episode now, but when Haru was confronting Ako about her relationship with Eado, she said "The heart can't overcome instinct" and asked her if she can fully love Eado even when his body craves meat. I feel this was reflective of her own relationship with Legoshi... does that mean deep down she doesn't truly love him as much as he loves her? Or is it just spite towards others trying to have an interspecies relationship like theirs?
