Does anyone feel like there’s been an increase in NTs saying things like ‘whoops lol sorry I’m being autistic’

Is this just me, or have people lately gotten super comfortable using autistic as a synonym for unintelligent or dumb? I feel like a few years ago it wasn’t as common for people to say, but I can’t count the number of times I’ve recently heard NTs say things like this. I feel like it has something to do with social media but I don’t really know.
