Unexplained foot bruising/pain
On May 22nd I got out of bed and had immediate pain whenever I would bear weight on my left foot. Nothing injurious had occurred to bring on this pain. No dropping anything on my foot, no slamming it into anything, no rigorous exercise. It just suddenly appeared.
It is on the left side of my left foot in the area up the foot from the pinky toe. It is very bruised and tender. Walking was almost too much.
The pain/bruising lasted about 9 days or so and then the pain subsided as well as The bruising.
Now suddenly, a week after I've healed, the same thing happened, where the pain just showed back up and the bruising followed shortly there after.
This time I was just in a friend's home walking at a normal gait and I was bare footed when it came on.
I ended up being talked into going to urgent care for X rays which I knew would be a waste because this pain wasn't significant enough for me to think my foot was actually broken. X-rays showed a totally normal foot/bones.
I am a female, in my 30's and am normal weight/Bmi.
I don't have a family history of clotting disorders. I'm really at a loss for what's going on.
The NP at urgent care said it was maybe from my foot having tougher skin in that area.... but I grew up on a farm, walking outside barefooted. This "callous"/ rougher skin isn't even anything.
What other information can I provide for you? Any ideas on this? Thank you
