What are Freedom cities? Do you think they have anything to do with tech billionaires' desire to create network states outside of nation states?

Since inauguration, he has had a notable fixation on opportunities to obtain land. None of this seemed to make any sense until I saw the recent circulating video about the tech elites' desire to create non democratic "network states". https://youtu.be/5RpPTRcz1no?si=HrleXRv3hkAXRrmx

It is undeniable that many of the mentioned tech elites are very intricately tied to Trump and Vance including Musk and Thiel.

Tech elites have been trying to buy land in California to build their Utopia city but this has been more challenging than expected (see "California Forever") as existing landowners resist.

What do you think are the purpose of these Freedom cities? Could they possibly be cities auctioned off to tech billionaires to develop and run as special deregulated zones where they could run their own governance models? Should we be selling off federal lands to build new cities? If there is nothing special about Freedom cities, then why build them in the first place?
