Fish dying

Hi, 3 fish have died the last 2 weeks. Saw one today and noticed the pump was weak. Cleaned the filter from algae and increased airflow. Is this to much current? Were they dying because of oxygen deprivation? Or something else. Any good way to find out? Greatful for the help
