I think Nicolas Cage is one of us
I don't really know where else to put this, I hope it's allowed. Speculation of this sort is considered uncouth by some, but "Are there any ABDL celebrities?" is a perennially re-occurring topic, I figure there'll be some interest in this.
Basically: I found this recap of a Howard Stern episode from 2003 that includes this portion: http://www.marksfriggin.com/news03/6-2.htm
Howard had Ian talk about one of these blind items that they print all the time. Ian gave Howard some info about how there is an Academy Award Winning actor out there who likes to be an adult baby doing the S&M thing. He can't say who that is because they don't have absolute proof about it. He said you need pictures of something like that to print a story about it.
I looked through the list of winners of Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor from about 1990-2003. Didn't seem like any had any direct ABDL rumors floating around.
BUT THEN I found this blind item from 2001: https://groups.google.com/g/alt.showbiz.gossip/c/itCbQ-pOS0s/m/gDpVpjwS-lAJ
This award-winning actor's best performances may not be onscreen. They might be in the bedroom in the company of hookers! He's very much a man, but our guy likes to pretend he's a little boy playing with toy trucks and wearing underwear decorated with cartoon characters. He hires working girls to be his "nanny" and pays them well to be part of his fantasy. He's not interested in actual sex - he only wants to be punished and spanked for being such a "naughty boy." Maybe that's why his pretty wife recently walked out on him.
Basically:
If the Stern guy and the 2001 blind item are referring to the same person, it's definitely Nicolas Cage. He's literally the only person who fulfills the nexus of "Academy Award winner (pre-2003)" and "divorced in 2001".
It's reasonable to think that they're referring to the same person. There can't be that many "award winning" actors into ageplay who were specifically producing speculation about it in the early 2000s.
A blind item and an allegation from a gossip columnist aren't proof, but there must be something there. People had a reason to think it was true even if it wasn't.
It might be a fool's errand to try and find more evidence. He was famous well before the World Wide Web, has long been able to get highly paid escorts to do whatever he wants, it's not likely he'd be making a DiaperMates profile in 2001 trying to find women who were into it.
Recommendations for jokes:
-"ABDL stuff is fucking expensive, no wonder he does so many movies!"
-"I guess that's why he wanted to steal those diapers in Raising Arizona!"
-"I knew he was de-aged for his role in The Flash, but not THIS much!"
