Are there any stories where the Aeldari are lore-appropriately competent?

In way too many stories aeldari don't act anything like they are supposed to from their broad description. They are supposed wise and intelligent, tempered by centuries of experience and guided by actual foresight of their future, able to manipulate, outsmart and outmaneuver all but the most shrewd of their enemies, always having the initiative and picking their battles.

Instead they often act like arrogant idiots who would prefer to get eaten by Slaanesh rather than have a reasonable conversation with anyone, banzai charge their enemies and die in truly grimdank fashion. To the point were Avatars being demolished left and right is a core meme, and the idea that GW tasks writing Eldar only to the authors who hate them is a common sentiment.

As a space elf fan I am rather miffed and wonder if there any stories where Aeldari are at least competent.
