For main accounts, what keeps you going?

I’ve been playing for awhile now. And I’m just getting into doing toa solo 400s. It’s been fun but I’ve been thinking I need upgrades. This gets me into a circular thought process that ultimately boils down to “do content for the gp/hr” to get upgrades. Which really demotivates me. I’ve been thinking about making an iron so it feels like getting uniques actually means something.

Anyways how do you mains out there keep going? Maybe just approaching a grind at a different angle helps?
